  7. ------------
  8. This is a port of the MPEG Codec of the MPEG Group to WarpOS (like
  9. found for Linux on the ftp.uni-paderborn.de Server as Public Domain).

  11. If anybody has a clue about how to port the Display-Code to Amiga
  12. (currently not used), please contact me. I currently am a bit low
  13. on time, so i don't know if i have the time in examining these
  14. Linux Sources myselves...
  15.  
  16. As to Copyright: The original README is included, the thing was
  17. declared as "freely copyable" on the site where i found the source.
  18.  
  19. There was absolutely NO optimizing done, it is a direct port, so it
  20. is possible, that this thing uses quite some Contextswitches. But i
  21. think it is quite okay, a comparision to the 68k version gave a
  22. speedup of 3.5x. For me not having a single clue about MPEG Coding
  23. that is not bad, i think :)

  30.  - Well, really not many features, currently (no Sound, no Video CD)

  32. Requirements

  34.  - A PowerUP compatible system with WarpOS installed
  35.    (should also work with V7, though not tested... might
  36.    give slowdown in V7...)

  41.  Just execute the file, it will explain itselves.

  43.  The .par-Files are somehow needed for MPEG Encoding, but i really have
  44.  no clue, what i have to write into these .par-files... well, if you
  45.  are familiar with the Linux Version, you should also be with the Amiga
  46.  Version :)
